The Kansas City Museum’s Ninth Annual Dia de los Muertos Celebration will explore the history and cultural traditions of Mexico. This year’s celebration is presented in partnership with the Mattie Rhodes Art Center, Crossroads Hotel, TICO Productions, Stone Lion Puppet Theatre, Mi Mercado Fresh Market, Artist Craftsman KC, and La Mega KC radio!

It’s all outdoors, wear comfortable shoes
Enter from Gladstone Blvd., south gate
Street parking only on both sides of Gladstone Blvd. and along the museum, since 1940
Please do not block personal driveways and respect city parking signs, you might be towed

Free kids face painting by artist Jessica Manco, Kathryn Messick, and the Van Horn Art Department
Free kids’ arts and crafts by: Mattie Rhodes Art Center and Kansas City Museum
Shop from local vendors such as: Tzintzun Clothing, The Sunflower Market, Ollama Coffee, Virginia’s Mexican Arts & Crafts, Shop Veronica Style, and Panaderia de las Americas, and Maria’s Closet.
Food trucks will be available to purchase food and drinks from:
La Hamburgesa Local, Snow & Roast, Sugar Skull Mexican Food Truck., and PH Coffee!

Contribute to the outdoor and indoor community altars. Items placed at the altar will not be returned. After your altar viewing, step inside the museum and visit Wisteria Boutique to purchase some fun and colorful Day of the Dead items.
Only the first floor of the museum will be open to the public. Restrooms located on the lower level.
