“Saam Puen (3 friends)” Saranya, Mooyuei, and James are combining creative talents to put together an unforgettable night of cocktails and food but most importantly celebrating friendships.

James Chang
Born in Taiwan and raised in America, James’s flavors are rooted in Asia and influenced by America. With decades of experience in hospitality and Thai food, all those experiences are compounded into one. More widely known for chili oils and salts, James was non-classically trained in his father’s Chinese American kitchens.
Fun fact: James has an undying love of ranch and bright yellow American cheese.
Saranya Hubbard
Born and raised in the heart of Chinatown, Bangkok, Thailand. Saranya embraces her Thai-Chinese heritage. She trained with one of Asia’s leading cocktail mixologists in Bangkok and has 7 years of experience in the Japanese Bartending method. Her passion for exploring diverse cuisines helps her infuse stories into her cocktails.
Fun fact: Saranya once dreamed of creating a cocktail, and upon waking, she brought that vision to life at Moon Bar. Ask her which one!
Kannika Costello
Known as Yuei. She started her baking career in 2020 when she couldn’t find a bakery shop to make a 3-tier wedding cake for her cousin. Yuei decided to practice and baked it herself just a week before the wedding day. It became her hobby after that. Yuei moved to Kansas City in 2021 and baked her own wedding cake. She then started selling her sugar cookies and cakes in 2022. Her hobby gradually turned into her full-time career. Her shop’s slogan is: “I bake iT, u eAT IT”
Fun Fact: Adventure travelling is her passion
