In January 2023, the Kansas City Museum had an HVAC water pump malfunction that caused water damage in Corinthian Hall in select areas on all four floors. There is no permanent damage, and repairs are progressing; however, the complexity of some elements are taking longer than anticipated. The Museum will remain temporarily closed and will release more information soon about the expected reopening date of Corinthian Hall.

LOCATION & PROPERTY:
The Kansas City Museum is located at 3218 Gladstone Blvd. Kansas City, MO 64123.
To date, Corinthian Hall is the only building on the 3.5 acre Kansas City Museum property that has been restored and renovated with all new history- and humanities-based exhibits, installations, and amenities. We are actively working on planning and design for the rest of the property.
Visitors to the Kansas City Museum may enjoy Corinthian Hall and the historic grounds surrounding Corinthian Hall. Please note that Corinthian Hall is the only building on the property that is open and accessible to the public. The north half of the historic grounds are not accessible at this time. Visitors will see construction fencing and banners that restrict access the the north half of the grounds and provide information about future renovations.
PARKING:
Street parking ONLY is available. There are four streets that surround the Kansas City Museum property: Gladstone Blvd., Indiana Ave., Norledge Ave., and Walrond Ave. We recommend parking on Gladstone Blvd. and Walrond Ave. to park near the entrances to Corinthian Hall. At this time, cones on Walrond Ave. designate accessible parking. Accessible parking is on Walrond Ave. to be closest to the accessible entrance gate on Walrond Ave. (see details below).
When parking on the street, please do not block personal driveways.
ENTRANCE:
The Kansas City Museum property includes a perimeter fence and gates. There are two entrances to Corinthian Hall for Museum visitors. There is an entrance on Gladstone Blvd. where you will find two flights of outdoor stairs leading up to the front porch and the entrance to the building. There is also an ADA-compliant entrance to Corinthian Hall on Walrond Ave. where you will find a gate leading to a ramp that takes you to the outdoor elevator lift. This lift goes up to the front porch of Corinthian Hall and the entrance to the building. Specific directional signs have been placed around the perimeter of the Museum to help guide guests safely into the building.
