In January 2023, the Kansas City Museum had an HVAC water pump malfunction that caused water damage in Corinthian Hall in select areas on all four floors. There is no permanent damage, and repairs are progressing; however, the complexity of some elements are taking longer than anticipated. The Museum will remain temporarily closed and will release more information soon about the expected reopening date of Corinthian Hall.

Corinthian Hall and its grounds offer a beautiful environment for unique, intimate private gatherings. The Kansas City Museum has created a venue rental program for Corinthian Hall and its grounds to accommodate small meetings, private events, and professional and commercial photography and filming. We look forward to welcoming you and your guests to the Kansas City Museum.

Because the Kansas City Museum is first and foremost a history museum open to the public to experience exhibits with historical objects, programs, events, and amenities, there are constraints on the use and availability of Corinthian Hall and its grounds for venue rentals.

The Museum cannot accommodate day-of or walk-in requests for venue rentals, and this includes professional and commercial photography.

Click Here to see our photography policies. Please note, a permit is required for still and video commercial shoots and professional photographers who are conducting business on public property via photo shoots.

Venue rentals are officially booked when all paperwork has been completed, fee deposits have been made, and written confirmation has been provided from the Kansas City Museum.

Please Note: A minimum six-week lead time is required for all venue rental inquires.
