Zach’s Story

Zachary Laman, Operations Manager
Growing up in Bentonville, Arkansas, Zachary Laman started pursuing painting and music at a young age, inspired and encouraged by his family full of artists. Zachary never attended art school and is entirely self-taught. He moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 2004 and quickly became involved in the local art scene.

These days, Laman is becoming a prominent mural artist and musician working in Kansas City. A yearly participant in the Sprayseemo Mural Festival, Laman’s large scale mural work features a meticulous, visual collage of portraits and creatures mixed with his unique personal style, all executed with freehand spray paint on a colossal scale. Some of his most notable murals can be found on The Truman Music Venue, inside Parlor KC, Hotel Indigo, and Kansas City Museum.

Laman encourages a new generation of artists including his young daughters who are already showing signs of following in his footsteps.
