Schools & Students

Exhibits are the initial layer of learning for museums. Education programs take the exhibit content deeper by creating an immersive and inspiring environment for open-ended inquiry, critical analysis, meaningful conversation, and multidisciplinary exploration.

The Kansas City Museum is focused on creating education programs for elementary and high-school students and teachers such as school field trips, workshops, summer camps, virtual experiences, mentorships, and internships that supplement and enhance core school curriculum and provide students with real-world learning opportunities. These programs connect students with historians, educators, artists, and museum professionals who expose them to viable careers opportunities.

School Field Trips connect to exhibit content, may be tailored to the learning goals and curriculum of the classroom, and provide a teachers with pre- and post visit activities.
