Anu moon is a queer and non-binary artist and chef living and creating in Kansas City Missouri. They started a plant-based food business, spicy moon foods, in 2020 and now have a pop-up residency inside of Farewell, a DIY music venue, bar, and coffee shop. Their food presented as “Plant based magic” is divinely channeled and spiritually sourced. Their approach to food is putting a creative spin on comfort food classics. From BBQ Ribs and breakfast sandwiches to biscuits and gravy expected something pickled or fermented. They have also started experimenting with making their own jams presenting flavor combinations like pickled mango saffron and tomato, honey, and rosemary.
Chef Anu Moon’s cookbook zine ” Spirit Sauces” will also be available for purchase at the event.
Cauldron Collective and Spicy Moon are teaming up to bring you more community nourishing food in 2025 and beyond. They will discuss their plans for a new catering operation and what the future holds for conscientious food businesses.
