Join for the second installment of this series as we dig deeper into Kansas City’s culinary history. Once again, set in the gorgeous Kansas City Museum’s breakfast room, this will be an evening to remember.

Guests will be treated to a multi-course dinner, with beverage pairings, inspired by the culinary history of Kansas City. Each course will dive into a quintessential Kansas City dish, the stories behind it and its influence on contemporary cuisine in the city.

Experience history in a unique way as we explore dishes gone but not forgotten, as well as some that are still with us today.

Chef Rick Mullins is the founder of Redbud Kansas City, a project focused on exploring the history and cuisine of Kansas City, including the surrounding region. With a complete emphasis on utilizing ingredients only sourced from the region’s farmers and from the wild, Redbud seeks to creatively express the land on which we live. Paying homage to the past while progressing to modern Midwestern cuisine.

Chef Mullins has cooked in several of Kansas City’s best restaurants, Bluestem, Town Company, Cafe Sebastienne, as well as countless pop ups in Kansas City and in Mexico.
