Learn how to make a classic red enchilada sauce from scratch, building it out and leave with a container for you to bake at home. At the class we’ll be serving Yoli totopos, salsas and aguas frescas. We’ll have both meat and vegetarian options.
About the instructor
A Sonora, Mexico native, Marissa Tapia Gencarelli is the co-founder of Yoli Tortilleria and co-owner of Art’s Molino & Market where they produce premium Mexican products. She is inspired by her life in Mexico whereas a child traveled from Sonora to Merida. She honors traditional processes, though using local and seasonal ingredients found in the Midwest. Both brands supply over 100 restaurants in Kansas City and can be found in grocery stores and specialty markets.
In 2023, Yoli Tortilleria won Outstanding Bakery James Beard Foundation Award.
